I usually order a guidebook for our trips. First place I look is Lonely Planet since I like their books.
This time I did something different and ordered chapters from the book. Since we're not traveling to all areas of India, I didn't need the whole book. Cost is less and each chapter "paid for" can be downloaded more than once. I've uploaded the five chapters I purchased into our Netbook so we can read them there. Steve reformatted the pdf files to ones that could upload to our PDAs so we both have the pages there, too. Good way to read without having to carry a large book. Even though I like to highlight parts of a book, this should work out well for us.
