Steve found an interesting article with Health Advice. Looks like we do the right thing most of the time.We already picked up malarone and cipro for the trip. Fortunately we both had no problem with malarone on the Thailand trip. Unfortunately, we both had to take the cipro. (Thank goodness we had it with us!) I always take a basic first aid kit with lots of bandaides.

Sun... We always wear protective clothing and hats. Take lotion with high SPF, too. Steve needs that.

We both have "buzz off" clothes, too. Last year, I started carrying a repellent that has picaridin instead of DEET. No yucky smell.


I carry the small container (1 ounce) in my carryon (annoying liquid limit) and the larger one (six ounces) in my checked bag. Don't want those little buggers bothering us!
